Resumen
La presente investigación refleja la problemática que existe desde hace muchos años,
y que en la actualidad se mantiene en el Cantón Villamil Playas, como es el inadecuado uso
del espacio público en la llegada y salida de los buses locales, intercantonales e
interprovinciales, así como el embarque y desembarque de pasajeros, que se realiza sobre
las vías principales y veredas de la cabecera cantonal y sus alrededores; además de la
presencia de vendedores ambulantes que comercializan todo tipo de productos. Por tanto,
los propósitos de la investigación son: Calcular la demanda actual de turistas y el origendestino más frecuente. analizar los recorridos de las rutas y frecuencias del servicio de
transporte que operan dentro y fuera del cantón; establecer la cantidad de comerciantes
informales que se apropian de las calles y veredas en el entorno inmediato de los servicios
de transporte interprovincial e Inter cantonal; y determinar los tipos de comercio que
demandaría la población en el terminal. La metodología, se sustentó en la recolección de
información mediante el empleo de técnicas en función a los objetivos específicos, aplicando
instrumentos como: recopilación documental, entrevistas a profesionales que intervienen de
manera directa en el funcionamiento de un terminal; además de encuestas a la comunidad
sobre las actividades comerciales existente y futuras que serán integrados en el terminal.
Finalmente, se realizó un diseño de un terminal terrestre que incluyan zonas de arribo y
desembarque de pasajeros, servicio y mantenimiento, estacionamientos y paraderos;
además que este equipado con comercios de primera necesidad, garantizando un correcto
funcionamiento, y buscando que el edificio se adapte al concepto y se integre al entorno.
The present investigation reflects the problematic that has existed for many years and that currently remains in the Villamil Playas Canton, such as the inappropriate use of public space in the arrival and departure of local intercantonal and interprovincial buses, as well as the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers that take place on the main roads and sidewalks of the cantonal head and its surroundings; in addition to the presence of street vendors that sell and kinds of products. Therefore, the purposes of the research are calculate the current demand of tourists the most frequent origin and destination. Analyze the routes and frequencies of the transport service that operate inside and outside the canton, establish the number of informal merchants who appropriate the streets and sidewalks in the immediate surroundings of the interprovincial and intercantonal transport services; and determine the type and trade that the population would demand in the terminal. The methodology is based on the collection of information through the use of techniques based on the specific objectives, for which instruments such as: documentary compilation, interviews with professionals will be applied that intervene directly in the operation of the bus terminal; in addition to community surveys on existing and future commercial activities that will be integrated into the bus terminal. The proposal and cope of the work is to design a bus terminal that includes passengers arrival and disembarkation areas, service and maintenance, parking and bus stops, in addition to being equipped with shops of first necessity, ensuring proper operation, and seeking that the building adapts to the concept and integrates with the environment.
