Resumen
El documento posee el objetivo principal de analizar la balanza comercial del sector manufacturero entre Ecuador y Colombia durante el periodo 2010-2018. Para este sentido se utilizará el enfoque cuantitativo con alcances de tipo descriptivo y explicativo, que pretende vislumbrar la evolución de los indicadores inherentes a las variables de estudio durante el periodo trazado. Se recalca que Colombia es uno de los principales socios comerciales del país, también con uno de los que mayor déficit comercial se registra anualmente. Entre los principales productos que se exportaron hacia este país durante estos años se resalta a los vehículos, preparaciones de carne y demás alimentos; mientras que los que mayormente se importan son vehículos, productos farmacéuticos y plásticos y sus manufacturas. Al respecto de la participación de la manufactura en el intercambio de mercancías entre estas dos naciones, se señala que este tipo de productos ocupa una amplia contribución a las exportaciones tanto de Ecuador y de Colombia. No obstante, se constató que la balanza comercial manufacturera es deficitaria para el mercado ecuatoriano, en todos los años seleccionados para análisis.
The document has the main objective of analyzing the trade balance of the manufacturing sector between Ecuador and Colombia during the period 2010-2018. For this purpose, the quantitative approach will be used with descriptive and explanatory scopes, which aims to envision the evolution of the indicators inherent to the study variables during the plotted period. It is emphasized that Colombia is one of the main trading partners of the country, also with one of the largest trade deficits recorded annually. Among the main products that were exported to this country during these years, vehicles, meat preparations and other foods stand out; while those that are mostly imported are vehicles, pharmaceutical and plastic products and their manufactures. Regarding the participation of manufacturing in the exchange of goods between these two nations, it is noted that this type of products occupies a large contribution to exports from both Ecuador and Colombia. However, it was found that the manufacturing trade balance is deficient for the Ecuadorian market, in all the years selected for analysis
