Resumen
El presente estudio sobre Atención Domiciliaria en Actividades Básicas de la Vida
Diaria en adolescentes con Síndrome de Down se centra en analizar la importancia
de las Actividades Básicas de la Vida Diaria en adolescentes con SD, que acuden a
Centro de Desarrollo Humano y Social “Canas & Vida”. Guayaquil. Se establecieron
como objetivos: Distribuir la población de estudio según grupo de edad y género
caracterizar el desempeño ocupacional de las actividades básicas a través de las
baterías de evaluación (ÍNDICE DE BARTHEL) e identificar estrategias que
desarrollen independencia en adolecente con Síndrome Down. El tipo de
investigación fue de diseño descriptivo, de campo, no experimental, de corte
transversal de enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra estuvo constituida mediante la
población en adolescentes con Síndrome Down. El instrumento utilizado fue una ficha
de entrevista de datos del adolescente y cuidador seguido de batería Índice de
Barthel. Según análisis grupo de edades12-13 años (50%), 16-17 años (30%), grupo
de genero sexo masculino (63%), sexo femenino, (37%). Patologías asociadas
cardiacos (50%), agudeza visual (27%), obesidad (17%). componente sensitivo
(33%), motor (29%), psicosocial (20%). Parámetros Actividades Básicas de la Vida
Diaria, vestirse y arreglarse (;20%), lavarse (17%), comer (13%). Grados de
independencia leve (50%), moderado (43%), grave (n=2; 7%).
The present study on Home Care in Basic Activities of Daily Living in adolescents with Down Syndrome focuses on analyzing the importance of Basic Activities of Daily Living in adolescents with DS, who attend the Centro de Desarrollo Humane Y Social "Canes & Lifetime". Guayaquil. The following objectives were established: To distribute the study population according to age group and gender, to characterize the occupational performance of basic activities through the evaluation batteries (BARTHEL'S INDEX) and to identify strategies that develop independence in adolescents with Down Syndrome. The type of research was descriptive, field, nonexperimental, cross-sectional with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of the population of adolescents with Down syndrome. The instrument used was a data interview sheet for the adolescent and caregiver followed by the Barthel Index battery. According to the analysis of the age group 12-13 years (50%), 16-17 years (30%), gender group male (63%), female gender (37%).
