Resumen
El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación fue analizar la evolución de la Pobreza por Necesidades Básicas Insatisfechas en la parroquia Pascuales del cantón Guayaquil en el periodo 2010-2019. Para este estudio se ha escogido al índice de las Necesidades Básicas Insatisfechas (NBI) por ser un método directo y multidimensional que permite el reflejo de las carencias en la calidad de vida de los miembros de una población; para cumplir los objetivos planteados en este trabajo, se ha divido el proceso en dos puntos, que permitirán al lector tener un contexto más amplio sobre la evolución de la pobreza y la pobreza por NBI a la que se han enfrentado los habitantes de esta parroquia periférica a la zona céntrica de Guayaquil, lo cual representa uno de sus mayores problemas. En el primer punto se ha analizado la evolución de la oferta de servicios públicos en la parroquia Pascuales en los periodos 1990-2010 a través de la estadística descriptiva, para esto, se utilizaron variables propias del Censo Nacional de Población y Vivienda, En el segundo punto se ha calculado el índice de pobreza por NBI en el periodo 2010-2019, con la finalidad de comparar si este índice se ha reducido en el lapso de tiempo estudiado, previo al cálculo de los índices se realizó a través de la estadística descriptiva el análisis de la evolución de cada una de las dimensiones que contempla este índice, adicional a esto se creó un índice para la dimensión de educación el cual se adaptó a las necesidades de este estudio.
The objective of this research was to analyze the evolution of Poverty due to Unsatisfied Basic Needs in the parish of Pascuales in the canton of Guayaquil in the period 2010-2019. For this study, the Unsatisfied Basic Needs Index (NBI) has been chosen as a direct and multidimensional method that allows the reflection of deficiencies in the quality of life of the members of a population; in order to achieve the objectives set in this work, the process has been divided into two points, which will allow the reader to have a broader context on the evolution of poverty and poverty due to NBI faced by the inhabitants of this peripheral parish to the central area of Guayaquil, Which is one of his biggest problems. In the first point, we analyzed the evolution of public services in the parish of Pascuales in the periods 1990-2010 through descriptive statistics, for this, we used variables specific to the National Population and Housing Census, In the second point, the poverty rate by NBI was calculated for the period 2010-2019, in order to compare whether this index has been reduced in the time period studied, prior to the calculation of the indices, the analysis of the evolution of each of the dimensions covered by this index was carried out using descriptive statistics, In addition to this, an index for the education dimension was created and adapted to the needs of this study.
