Companies that need to use an e-commerce platform must consider several monetizable factors as well as the business niche. One of the reasons why SMEs do not move towards e-commerce is due to lack of knowledge about technological tools; there is distrust on the part of consumers when conducting commercial transactions online; which prevents the expansion of e-commerce in Ecuador, among other factors. The objective of this degree project is to develop an application with a knowledge base on selection criteria and technological tools available for the implementation of e-commerce in SMEs, forming a customized technological ecosystem of criteria chosen by the user. To achieve the objective, the AHP mathematical model was applied for multi-criteria decision making based on distributing decisions according to priorities or hierarchies, determining which one or ones have the greatest impact on the desired objective. The research methodology used is diagnostic, because it analyzes the factors that promoted the emergence of a problem; and in turn, SCRUM was used as a development methodology, because its purpose is to deliver value in short periods of time and facilitate teamwork, preventing risks during project execution. A case study was proposed, where the mathematical software MATLAB was selected as the appropriate tool for the creation of the application proposed in the objective, from the integrated App Designer module and with the information base compiled from the exhaustive research about e-commerce, which will benefit those who wish to implement e-commerce in their companies; thus improving their productivity and scope. Analyses of works related to the problem posed were carried out and the importance of e commerce for digital innovation in SMEs was determined.Companies that need to use an e-commerce platform must consider several monetizable factors as well as the business niche.
