gramos de raices. Así mismo se encontraron muestras de suelo donde;
The current research was conducted in the farm "Stevia Nature Ecuador" located at the following geographical coordinates 2°17'41"S 80°35'58" W, Zapotal-Santa Elena. This research had as specific objectives to collect soil and root samples in established Stevia plantations, to look into the soil and root samples and to identify the phytoparasitic nematodes present, thus, soil and root samples were monitored to identify the presence of phytoparasitic nematodes in the crop in question. The samples of both soil and roots were analyzed in the ANEMAGRO laboratory owned by Ms. Carmen Triviño Gilces, MSc, PhD, head of the Nematology laboratory at Boliche Experimental Station of INIAP. The same ones that played out in the presence of Helicotylenchus spp, with an average of 80 nematodes in 10 grams of roots. Likewise, soil samples were found where Helicotylenchus had an average population density of 70 nematodes in 100 cm3 of soil, Meloidogyne with an average population density of 10 nematodes in 100 cm3 of soil, and finally Tylenchus with an average population density of 30 specimens in 100 cm3 of soil.
