Resumen
La caracterización realizada a los desechos que ingresan al relleno sanitario del cantón San Lorenzo se ha realizado mediante la clasificación y tamizaje de los R.S.U. los cuales provienen de las cuatro rutas de recolección que ha permitido elaborar una propuesta de educación ambiental en la que se logre el manejo responsable de los reciclables. Existe una problemática actual en el cantón respecto a la generación y recolección de los residuos el cual se ha subutilizado y no tiene un procedimiento adecuado conforme a las normas técnicas ambientales, debido a que se realiza una recolección mixta. Es factible realizar este proyecto debido a que la problemática es real y actual conforme a los datos proporcionados por GAD Municipal a través del departamento de Unidad de Gestión Ambiental. Se ha trabajado de manera teórica y práctica en la que se pueda desarrollar y cumplir uno de los objetivos que se basa en elaborar un plan de educación ambiental para la segregación de residuos sólidos. Dentro de la investigación ha sido de principal herramienta las visitas técnicas al relleno sanitario y al municipio del Cantón San Lorenzo en la cual se puede evidenciar algunas deficiencias en el procedimiento que se utiliza en las rutas. Acorde a la investigación desarrollada y al poner en práctica el plan de educación ambiental es factible llegar a tener un eficiente relleno sanitario con una adecuada utilización de los residuos sólidos que pueden ser parte activa de la economía circular de los habitantes en la que se encuentran beneficios económicos y pro del medio ambiente.
The characterization of the solid waste that enters the San Lorenzo canton landfill has been carried out by classifying and screening the R.S.U. which come from the four collection routes that have made it possible to develop an environmental education proposal in which the responsible management of recyclables is achieved. There is a current problem in the canton regarding the generation and collection of waste, which has been underused and does not have an adequate procedure in accordance with environmental technical standards, due to the fact that a mixed collection is carried out. It is feasible to carry out this project because the problem is real and current according to the data provided by GAD Municipal through the Environmental Management Unit department. It has worked in a theoretical and practical way in which one of the objectives based on developing an environmental education plan for the segregation of solid waste can be developed and fulfilled. The main tool of the investigation has been the technical visits to the sanitary landfill and to the municipality of the Canton San Lorenzo in which some deficiencies in the procedure used on the routes can be evidenced. According to the research developed and by putting the environmental education plan into practice, it is feasible to have an efficient sanitary landfill with an adequate use of solid waste that can be an active part of the circular economy of the inhabitants in which benefits are found. economic and environmentally friendly.
