Resumen
Se analizó el impacto de la crisis global en la balanza comercial del Ecuador,
partiendo de una evaluación situacional de las exportaciones tradicionales y no
tradicionales, además de las importaciones. Se elaboró un diagnóstico de la situación
productiva ecuatoriana en el período 2015-2019. Se analizó el declive comercial de
2020, los sectores han sido vulnerables al comercio internacional. La metodología de
investigación que se llevó a cabo es mixta, es cuantitativa debido al análisis
descriptivo de bases de datos; y cualitativo para la revisión documental y desarrollo
de entrevistas con representantes de los sectores con mayor participación en la
balanza comercial del Ecuador. Finalmente, se determina que el superávit comercial
no siempre es señal de bienestar económico, los sectores más afectados fueron:
cafetlero, florícola, automotriz y petróleo, los que demostraron resiliencia fueron
cacaotero, bananero y maderero, Aún hay carencias a tener en cuenta en las áreas
arancelarias, es necesario abrir nuevos mercados y buscar finalizar las negociaciones

The impact of the global crisis on the Ecuadorian trade balance was analyzed, starting from a situational assessment of traditional and non-traditional exports, in addition to imports. A diagnosis of the Ecuadorian productive situation in the period 2015- 2019 was prepared. The 2020 trade decline was analyzed, the sectors have been vulnerable to international trade. The research methodology that was carried out is mixed, it is quantitative due to the descriptive analysis of databases; and qualitative for the documentary review and development of interviews with representatives of the sectors with the greatest participation in the trade balance of Ecuador. Finally, it is determined that the trade surplus is not always a sign of economic well-being, the most affected sectors were: oil, coffee, natural flowers, vehicles, manufacturing and oil, those that demonstrated resilience were cocoa, bananas and wood. take into account in tariff areas, it is necessary to open new markets and seek to finalize trade negotiations
