This research is the study of the problems of the Ecuadorian textile sector as a result of Ecuador's early insertion into the Pacific Alliance. Due to the weight that this industry has in the generation of sources of employment, and the same, which over the years has been significantly affected by external factors such as unfair competition, increased imports and smuggling from neighboring countries. Faced with such imminent entry into the alliance, Ecuador feels the pressure caused by the industries of the other members that over the years have formed a strong textile industry that can compete internationally, unlike the national one, among other factors because of the self-devaluation of their currencies, and their low wages. The research proceeded to use the instrument of the interview, aimed at experts from the private, public and academic sectors in the area of textiles where they give a current spectrum of the situation and problems that lead to the companies that comprise the entire production process. For this reason, a possible solution is proposed that will help the sector to make it more competitive and that the impact on SMEs and large textile companies will be less.
