The objective of this research work is to analyze the influence of Foreign Direct Investment in footwear manufacturing industries; considering that FDI has a significant role in the business growth of Ecuador. Three theoretical currents have been contemplated; The first is the neoclassical theory which assumes that the market is always in equilibrium, the second is the FDI theory on which the stability and economic openness that a country must have to promote the arrival of capital is based and, on the other hand , the dependency theory establishes that the progress of a developing country depends on a developed one with economic capacity ready for investment. The methodological base is a qualitative approach which is decisive for generating efficient information for the construction of scenarios that can be developed based on FDI and the footwear manufacturing industry
