Resumen
El presente trabajo investigativo hace referencia a la mediación internacional, para lo cual es preciso abordar la evolución histórica, concepto, características y demás aspectos que nos permitan tener una visión amplia del tema a estudiar. Siendo así que esta investigación pretende determinar la eficacia de la mediación en el proceso de solución pacífica de conflictos internacionales, en relación a los demás mecanismos alternativos que permiten la resolución de controversias en la esfera internacional, los cuales se encuentran instaurados en el artículo 33 numeral 1 de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas. Además, este estudio procura dotar de mayor relevancia a esta herramienta, que por mucho tiempo ha sido objeto de confusiones, debido a la falta de precisión jurídica por parte del sistema de Naciones Unidas, siendo este organismo el encargado de fomentar la implementación de mecanismos que logren precautelar y garantizar la paz, seguridad y armonía de la comunidad internacional.
This research work makes reference to international mediation, for which it is necessary to address the historical evolution, concept, characteristics and other aspects that allow us to have a broad vision of the subject to be studied. Thus, this research aims to determine the effectiveness of mediation in the process of peaceful resolution of international conflicts, in relation to other alternative mechanisms that allow the resolution of disputes in the international sphere, which are established in article 33 numeral 1 of the Charter of the United Nations. In addition, this study seeks to give more relevance to this tool, which for a long time has been the subject of confusion, due to the lack of legal precision on the part of the United Nations system, with this body in charge of promoting the implementation of mechanisms that achieve safeguard and guarantee the peace, security and harmony of the international community.
