biocompatibilidad, mayor bioactividad y menor dolor post operatorio
Pulp capping is a procedure in which a medication is placed directly on the exposed dental pulp with the objective of maintaining the dental structure and preserving pulp vitality; currently there are many materials that seek to achieve this objective; however, these materials have not achieved proven clinical effectiveness, so Biodentine, one of the current materials created by the dental industry, due to its high physical, chemical and biological properties, can replace dentin at both coronal and root level. The aim of this study is to identify the advantage of using Biodentine as pulp capping. The work is a bibliographic review, documentary, descriptive, analytical and retrospective in its search, deductive method; from the keywords "Pulp capping, Biodentine, dentin pulp complex", 150 scientific articles from 2016 to 2021 were used, which were obtained on the web thanks to the search engines Google Scholar, Scielo, RedALyC, and in the meta search engines PubMed, Web of Science, of which, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria 70 articles were analyzed. As a result, it was obtained that Biodentine, due to its high success rate, can be considered a successful material to be used as pulp capping, avoiding postoperative pain and improving the prognosis of our treatment. In conclusion, it was found that Biodentine has more advantages over other cements, such as: greater biocompatibility, greater bioactivity and less postoperative pain
