Resumen
En el presente trabajo de investigación se desarrolló un cubo OLAP para beneficiar la
disposición de reportes, para facilitar la toma de decisiones. En la actualidad la
Academia Trynice Training & Consulting realiza varias funciones para su crecimiento
generando demasiada información, dificultando la toma de decisiones en dicha
academia al buscar la información en la base datos desde el principio hasta el final. Para
el desarrollo de este proyecto se utilizó la metodología cualitativa, con la técnica de
recolección de datos de observación y entrevista, además de mostrar a la academia, que
es factible implementar esta herramienta también para el desarrollo del cubo OLAP. Se
realizó el modelo de dominio, diagramas de caso, uso de diccionarios de Datos, que en
conjunto con toda la información proporcionada por la academia se ejecutó una
herramienta, que genera reportes mediante un modelamiento multidimensional y su
cobertura es muy amplia lo que concluye con la elaboración satisfactoria del cubo
OLAP. Con lo anteriormente expuesto se dio cumplimiento de los objetivos establecidos
y con la conclusión de la propuesta se procede a brindar las debidas recomendaciones
para la actualización del cubo, ayudando al crecimiento constante de la Academia.
In this research work, an OLAP cube was developed to benefit the provision of reports, to facilitate decision-making. At present, the Trynice Training & ConsultingAcademy performs several functions for its growth, generating too much information, making it difficult totake decisions in this academy by searching the information in the database from the beginning to the end. For the development of this project, the qualitative methodology was used, with the observation and interview data collection technique, in addition to showing the academy that it is feasible to implement this tool also for the development of the OLAP cube. The domain model, case diagrams, use of Data dictionaries were carried out, which together with all the information provided by the academy, a tool was performed, which generates reports through multidimensional modeling and its coverage is very broad, which concludes with the successful construction of the OLAP cube. With the information previously mentioned, the established objectives were fulfilled and with the conclusion of the proposal it is proceeded to provide the appropriate recommendations for updating the cube, helping the constant growth of the academy.
