Resumen
El presente trabajo de titulación muestra
una minuciosa investigación sobre el
inmueble patrimonial Anfiteatro
Anatómico Julián Coronel, analizando la
problemática en la que está inmiscuido
con relación a su contexto y su
importancia para la historia de la
medicina y odontología, además de
encontrar la solución funcional óptima y
el tipo de restauración que éste necesita
para volver a la vida y recuperar su valor
patrimonial.
Para ello se utilizó fuentes confiables que
tratan del circuito histórico y
arquitectónico al que pertenece, además
de recurrir a entrevistas con preguntas
personalizadas a diversos expertos del
tema, entre ellos, historiadores,
investigadores, médicos, odontólogos,
arquitectos y estudiantes de ambas
carreras cuyas clases se impartían en
este inmueble, con el fin de obtener
sugerencias de funcionalidad y
descripción de escenas de las
enseñanzas expuestas en cada aula y
espacio del mismo.
Como resultado, surge la propuesta
sustentada de que la edificación adopte
la función de Museo de medicina y
odontología y en ella se preserve e
inmortalice la memoria de lo que fue la
cuna de grandes profesionales en estas
ramas del pasado Siglo. Por último, con
la propuesta se explica el proceso legal y
físico que conlleva una restauración de
este tipo mediante la ayuda gráfica y
hablada de un experto en restauraciones
y conservaciones de inmuebles
patrimoniales en Guayaquil.
This degree work shows a thorough investigation of the Julián Coronel Anatomical Amphitheater, analyzing the problems in which it is involved in relation to its context and its importance for the history of medicine and dentistry, in addition to finding the optimal functional solution and the type of restoration that it needs to come back to life and recover its heritage value. For this purpose, reliable sources dealing with the historical and architectural circuit to which it belongs were used, in addition to interviews with personalized questions to various experts on the subject, including historians, researchers, doctors, dentists, architects and students of both careers that were taught in this building, in order to obtain suggestions of functionality and description of scenes of the teachings exposed in each classroom and space of the same. As a result, the need arises for the building to adopt the function of a museum of medicine and dentistry where the memory of what was the cradle of great professionals in these branches of the last century is preserved and immortalized. Finally, the proposal explains the legal and physical process involved in a restoration of this type with the graphic and spoken help of an expert in restoration and conservation of heritage buildings in Guayaquil.
