Resumen
Con la aprobación del Código Orgánico Integral Penal en el año 2014, Ecuador incorporó al
femicidio como delito en su normativa; reconociendo la muerte violenta de mujeres por el solo
hecho de serlo, se ha convertido en un problema social que afecta a todo un país. Por lo tanto,
el presente estudio de investigación tiene por objetivo analizar la incidencia del delito de
femicidio en el Ecuador y su afectación social, debido a las alta cifras de femicidio que hay en
la actualidad. Para tal fin se desarrolla bajo el método deductivo porque la investigación parte
de una verdad universal hasta llegar a una conclusión particular, así mismo se utiliza una
investigación de campo a través de un estudio descriptivo y estadístico. Y como resultado, se
busca fomentar programas donde se pueda impartir capacitaciones y brindar información de
forma clara y entendible a la sociedad.

Therefore, this research study aims to analyze the incidence of the crime of femicide in the Ecuador and its social impact, due to the high numbers of femicide that exist today. For this purpose, it is developed under the deductive method because the investigation starts from a universal truth until reaching a particular conclusion, likewise a field investigation is used through a descriptive and statistical study. And as a result, it seeks to promote programs where training can be given and information can be provided in a clear and understandable way to society.
