Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disease characterized by recurrent seizures that can be very brief episodes of absence or muscle contractions or longer and severe seizures that compromise the oral cavity and general patient, as professionals, we need to know the protocols and conditions of proper management in patients with epilepsy in dental care. Therefore we will describe what epilepsy is, the history of epilepsy, the management in the dental office reported from different articles, types of epileptic seizures, clinical manifestations, stomatological complications, dental considerations of the patient suffering from epilepsy. Objective. To determine the conditions of adequate management in patients with epilepsy in dental care. Material and Method. The methods applied were based on the collection of information; documents and scientific articles, blogs, and journals were analyzed. The type of research is descriptive, documentary, and qualitative because protocols based on scientific evidence were carried out Conclusion The management of the epileptic patient in the dental office is of great importance because we have to know what factors trigger the seizures and prevent future complications in the patient to know how to treat and what to do during an episode.
