Resumen
Para alcanzar la calidad en el desarrollo de la gestión educativa, todas
las Instituciones de Educación Superior en el Ecuador, han debido
someterse a profundos cambios y reestructuraciones. Hecho que ha
generado sistemáticamente el tener que coordinar, planificar,
desarrollar e implementar estándares y recursos, con el objetivo de
garantizar un mayor nivel en el proceso de formación y una sincronía
con lo que actualmente se demanda a nivel nacional e internacional,
en cuanto a formar parte de la llamada sociedad del conocimiento. En
base a esto, se analiza cuál es la incidencia que tiene la investigación
científica - tecnológica de los docentes y cómo afecta a la calidad en
los proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje. La investigación es de
carácter no experimental cualitativa con enfoque cuantitativo, donde
se utilizan técnicas como la observación, la encuesta y entrevista para
llevar a cabo la recolección de datos. Entre los hallazgos se encontró
que los docentes no cuentan con la formación apropiada para ejercer
tareas y actividades en el ámbito investigativo, lo que directamente
genera una deficiencia en el criterio investigación al no contar con
recursos técnicos y humanos que puedan fortalecer el actual modelo
académico - formativo.
In order to achieve quality in the process of education, all Higher Education Institutions in Ecuador have had gone through radical changes and realignments. A fact that has consistently generated the need to coordinate, plan, develop and implement standards and resources, towards to ensure a higher level in the process of training and a synchronism with what is currently demanded nationally and internationally. Based on this, we analyze what is the impact of scientific - technological research competences of the teachers and how it affects the quality of the teaching – learning process. This nonexperimental research is qualitative with a quantitative approach where the used techniques were classroom observation, surveys and interviews to conduct data collection. As a result, it was found that teachers lack the proper training to perform tasks and activities in the research area, which creates a deficiency in the investigative criterion because the absence of technical and human resources needed to strength the current formative-academic model.
