Resumen
El Hospital Civil “San Vicente de Paúl”, de Pasaje, Provincia del El Oro,
segundo hospital de referencia, presta servicios de emergencia,
hospitalización y consulta externa de Pediatría, Gineco – Obstetricia,
Medicina Interna y Cirugía General a una gran población. Siendo el
mayor problema la falta de especialistas y subespecialistas. Al
incrementar éstas áreas mejoraría la atención de calidad al paciente,
porque ya no se realizaría la gran cantidad de transferencias al Hospital
Teófilo Dávila de Machala, siendo el Hospital base de la Provincia.
Como objetivo es diseñar elementos que coadyuven hacia la calidad
hospitalaria, mediante las Normas ISO que son guías establecidas por
conceso y aprobado por un organismo reconocido en éste caso la
Organización Panamericana de la Salud, destinado al logro óptimo en la
atención hospitalaria. Se propone diseñar un modelo de atención, el
cual beneficiaría a la población y por ende a más profesionales de la
salud.
