Resumen
La principal misión de la odontología actual es proporcionar restauraciones dentales funcionales de apariencia natural, por lo cual el objetivo de la investigación fue describir el protocolo del Vita Easyshade en la preparación de restauraciones cerámicas. La metodología en este estudio es cualitativa, exploratoria y documental bibliográfico; se realizó una amplia investigación sobre las fuentes científicas primarias, secundarias y terciarias publicadas en los últimos 5 años sobre el tema, resultando que con el uso de los espectrofotómetros se obtienen resultados fiables y exactos, donde la Vita Easyshade ha demostrado una exactitud del 92,6% en la similitud del croma de las cerámicas con relación a la pieza natural. Concluimos que los estudios científicos coinciden que para minimizar las influencias de la forma y las propiedades no uniformes del color de los dientes, se debe definir un área de medición pequeña y estandarizar la iluminación y además que los principales errores al utilizar el equipo por una mala calibración del aparato o una mala posición de la punta de medición en el diente; sumándose las superficies extremadamente curvas de las piezas dentarias como otra desventaja y por último podemos indicar que los instrumentos como colorímetros y espectrofotómetros analizan el color del diente de una forma muy fiable dando parámetros de exactitud elevados, por lo que es recomendado en la literatura científica cuando se vaya a tomar el color, sobre todo en tratamientos donde prime la estética y así evitar el descontento de nuestros pacientes y el rechazo de las restauraciones
The main mission of current dentistry is to provide functional and natural dental restoration, the objective of this research was to describe the Vita Easy Shade protocol in the preparation of ceramic restorations. The methodology of this study is qualitative, exploratory and bibliographic, an extensive investigation was executed on the different scientific sources published in the last 5 years on the subject, obtaining as a result that with the using spectrophotometers, reliable and exacts results are obtained where the Vita Easy shade has shown accuracy of 92.6% in the similarity of the Chroma on ceramics restorations in relation to the natural piece. Therefore, we conclude that scientific studies agree that in order to minimize the influences of the shape and the non-uniform properties of the color of teeth, a small measurement area should be defined and the lighting standardized, and also that the main errors when using the equipment they are derived, on the one hand, by the operator due to bad calibration of the device or bad position of the measuring tip on the tooth; adding the extremely curved surfaces of teeth as another disadvantage and finally we can indicate that instruments such as colorimeters and spectrophotometers analyze the color of the tooth in very reliable way, giving high accuracy parameters, which is why it is recommended in the scientific literature when color is going to be taken, especially in treatments where aesthetic prevail and thus avoid the discontent of our patients and the rejection of restorations
