Resumen
La fractura radicular es una lesión por traumatismos que se puede dar en cualquier edad.
El objetivo de este estudio es determinar el manejo de fracturas radiculares en dentición permanente. La metodología aplicada en la investigación fue buscar información en artículos científicos publicados en páginas web y en libros relacionado al tema. Como resultados tenemos que las fracturas radiculares en dentición permanente son verticales y transversales; las fracturas verticales se dan en la etapa adulta y en muchos casos se extrae el diente afectado; por otro lado, las fracturas transversales se pueden dar a cualquier edad, se localizan en el tercio apical, tercio medio y tercio coronal del diente. En estas fracturas como tratamiento encontramos la ferulización, un seguimiento de la lesión por su etapa de cicatrización y control, tratamiento endodóntico, y la extracción. Como conclusión, hay que realizar un buen examen clínico y radiográfico porque pueden pasar por desapercibidas.
Radicular fracture is a trauma injury that can occur at any age. The objective of this study is to determine the management of root fractures in the permanent dentition. The methodology applied in the research was to search for information in scientific articles published on web pages and in books related to the subject. The results show that root fractures in the permanent dentition are vertical and transverse; vertical fractures occur in the adult stage and in many cases the affected tooth is extracted; on the other hand, transverse fractures can occur at any age and are in the apical third, middle third and coronal third of the tooth. In these fractures, treatment includes splinting, follow-up of the lesion during the healing and control stage, endodontic treatment, and extraction. In conclusion, a good clinical and radiographic examination must be performed because they can go unnoticed.
