El presente proyecto pretende contribuir con la disminución de información odontológica sobre la
atención clínica en pacientes con alguna discapacidad educacional como: Autismo, síndrome de
Down, PCI, discapacidad visual y auditiva, síndrome de Dravet, al momento de presentarse a la
consulta de odontopediatría. Los padres deben tener en cuenta las medidas preventivas y
terapéuticas para evitar la proliferación de alteraciones bucales, el uso de estabilizadores durante
el procedimiento reduciendo el riesgo de causar algún daño al paciente
La formación de los profesionales juega un papel importante en virtud de sus conocimientos,
destrezas y acciones positivas para el abordaje odontológico en niños con discapacidad, este
proyecto tiene como objetivo determinar las necesidades educativas odontológicas en niños con
discapacidad según la metodología aplicada en esta investigación es de tipo deductivo, analítico y
sintético los resultados obtenidos son que los métodos de comportamientos, cuidados primarios
tanto preventivas y terapéuticas previniendo las enfermedades bucales por la deficiencia de higiene
oral, el uso de anestesia o sedación dependerá del comportamiento del niño, una profilaxis
antibiótica está indicado en pacientes cardiacos previniendo la proliferación y diseminación
bacteriana mediante medicamentos como la penicilina, clindamicina entre otras
