Resumen
La prevención del VPH constituye una meta muy importante del sistema sanitario, para favorecer el bienestar de los grupos prioritarios, por ello, se planteó el objetivo de describir el autocuidado frente al contagio del virus papiloma humano en mujeres adolescentes en Unidad Educativa Fe y Alegría. Se aplicó la metodología descriptiva, cuantitativa, con uso de encuesta aplicada a muestra de 100 estudiantes de bachillerato, cuyos resultados evidenciaron 43% de estudiantes que desconocen sobre VPH y consecuencias, 24% sostuvo relaciones sexuales precoces sin uso de preservativos, solo 16% acudió al centro de salud para realizarse examen de Papanicolau, 8% no se vacunó contra VPH, 56% asisten a fiestas donde no hay control de sexualidad, 70%-78% manifestaron limitaciones en participación de profesionales de enfermería en promoción del autocuidado ante infección del VPH. En conclusión, hubo limitaciones para prevenir contagio de VPH en este grupo prioritario, por causa de limitaciones en ejecución de programas de promoción y prevención sanitaria.
The prevention of HPV is a very important goal of the health system, to promote the well-being of priority groups, therefore, the objective of describing self-care against the spread of human papillomavirus in adolescent women in the Fe y Alegría Educational Unit was proposed. The descriptive, quantitative methodology was applied, with the use of a survey applied to a sample of 100 high school students, whose results showed that 43% of students were unaware of HPV and its consequences, 24% had early sexual intercourse without the use of condoms, only 16% attended to the health center to perform a Pap test, 8% were not vaccinated against HPV, 56% attend parties where there is no control of sexuality, 70%-78% expressed limitations in the participation of nursing professionals in promoting self-care in the face of HPV infection.
