La elaboración de esta investigación se desarrolla en base a revisiones bibliográficas sobre los estudios epidemiológicos muestran que el herpes comienza como pequeñas ampollas que se forman alrededor de los labios y la boca. A veces también aparecen en el mentón, las mejillas y la nariz. Luego de algunos días, las ampollas suelen empezar a supurar y luego forman una costra y se curan por completo, en un plazo de una a dos semanas. el contacto piel con piel o al tocar un objeto anteriormente manipulado por alguien infectado por el virus. Objetivo: Analizar las manifestaciones clínicas y tratamientos del herpes oral en Odontopediatría. Material y Métodos: Se plantea un diseño Cualitativo, Exploratorio y Documental de la Revisión de literatura para elaboración de marco teórico. Acerca de las manifestaciones clínicas y tratamientos del herpes oral en Odontopediatría. Obtención de referencias y fuentes bibliográficas sobre artículos de SciELO, Elsevier, PubMed, Springer, AEPAP, Manual MSD, Dental Research Journal, ScienceDirect, SEIMC, MEDISAN, MEDISUR y Repositorio Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de Guayaquil, publicadas en los últimos 5 años. Conclusión: Es fundamental conocer el rango de las manifestaciones para estar alerta ante las posibles complicaciones, y derivar a otros especialistas cuando sea necesario.. Toda la información actualizada de la manifestaciones clínicas y tratamientos del herpes oral en Odontopediatría, se encuentra en el rango de los últimos cinco años y servirá para futuras investigaciones.
The elaboration of this research is developed based on literature reviews on epidemiological studies show that herpes begins as small blisters that form around the lips and mouth. Sometimes they also appear on the chin, cheeks and nose. After a few days, the blisters usually begin to ooze and then crust over and heal completely, within one to two weeks. Cold sores are highly contagious. Objective: To analyze the clinical manifestations and treatment of oral herpes in pediatric dentistry. Material and Methods: A Qualitative, Exploratory and Documentary design of the literature review is proposed for the elaboration of the theoretical framework. On the clinical manifestations and treatments of oral herpes in pediatric dentistry. Obtaining references and bibliographic sources on articles from SciELO, Elsevier, PubMed, Springer, AEPAP, Manual MSD, Dental Research Journal, ScienceDirect, SEIMC, MEDISAN, MEDISUR and repositories Pontificia University Javeriana, University of Guayaquil, published in the last 5 years. Conclusion: It is essential to know the range of manifestations in order to be alert to possible complications, and to refer to other specialists when necessary, such as the ophthalmologist in cases of herpetic keratitis. All the updated information on the clinical manifestations and treatment of oral herpes in pediatric dentistry is in the range of the last five years and will be useful for future research.
