Resumen
Las personas con discapacidad motriz son individuos que presentan alteraciones en su
capacidad funcional o la pérdida de movilidad de cualquier parte del cuerpo. Siendo de gran
importancia, promover el bienestar psicológico para mejorar su calidad de vida. El objetivo de
la presente investigación fue determinar el aporte del deporte adaptado al bienestar
psicológico de personas con discapacidad motriz pertenecientes al Club Deportivo Free
Wheel. La metodología es de tipo cualitativa, la población fue establecida como estudios de
casos y seleccionados por criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Los instrumentos utilizados
fueron: escala de Ryff y la entrevista semiestructurada. Los resultados indicaron que: las
actividades de resistencia, velocidad, fuerza y agilidad fortalecen el bienestar psicosocial del
Club; según la escala de Ryff el nivel de las dimensiones es “alto” y “elevado”. En conclusión,
el deporte adaptado contribuye positivamente al potenciar el bienestar psicológico de la
población
