Adherencia al tratamiento con retrovirales en pacientes con VIH SIDA del Hospital Liborio Panchana Sotomayor

Resumen
El presente estudio se llevado a cabo con la finalidad de determinar el nivel de adherencia al tratamiento con retrovirales en el ¨Hospital General Liborio Panchana Sotomayor¨, usando como herramienta las encuestas vía telefónica cumpliendo las normativas de distanciamiento social, el estudio fue de tipo cuantitativo analítico de corte transversal utilizando una muestra de 127 pacientes femeninas entre edades de 19-35 años, que fueron atendidas por consulta externa en el periodo de enero a diciembre del 2020. En los resultados obtenidos tenemos que el 11.02% abandonaron el tratamiento con ARV tras presentar los efectos secundarios como diarrea, náuseas, vomito inapetencia, cefalea, diaforesis nocturna, insomnio, exantemas en un 32.28% de los pacientes en ningún momento han dejado de tomar el TARV, 56.7% no tienen una adherencia adecuada y 11.02% han abandonado el TARV. Se recomienda una instrucción adecuada a los pacientes acerca de los efectos adversos al tomar la medicación retroviral y su vez los riegos del abandono del mismo
