Resumen
La fluorosis dental es una anomalía del esmalte tipo hipomineralización debido a estar expuesto a cantidades excesivas de fluoruro durante el periodo de amelogénesis, se manifiesta desde marcas blancas de color amarillo o marrón oscuro comprometiendo toda la superficie del diente pudiendo estar asociado a la perdida de la estructura y cambios de color. Los tratamientos pueden variar desde microabrasion, aclaramiento, restauraciones con resina, carillas y coronas unificando el tono y la forma de las piezas dentales devolviéndole al paciente una estética excelente, es importante la utilización de flúor, colutorios dentales e hilo dental para mantener una cavidad bucal sana El objetivo del presente trabajo es determinar la microabrasion dental como alternativa de tratamiento de la fluorosis. Metodología utilizada en el presente proyecto es descriptivo, analítico-sintético e inductivo-reductivo; para el cual se tomaron artículos para analizar la información respecto a microabrasion dental como alternativa de tratamiento de la fluorosis. Conclusiones la microabrasion dental es una excelente alternativa terapéutica para la eliminación superficial del esmalte pigmento por fluorosis sin embargo, de continuar con los factores de riesgo existentes en el medio, podría llegar a convertirse en un problema de salud.
ABSTRACT
Dental fluorosis is an anomaly of the enamel type hypo mineralization due to being exposed to excessive amounts of fluoride during the period of amelogenesis, it manifests from white marks of yellow or dark brown color compromising the entire surface of the tooth and may be associated with loss of structure and color changes. Treatments can vary from microabrasion, lightening, resin restorations, veneers and crowns unifying the tone and shape of the teeth giving back to the patient an excellent aesthetic, it is important the use of fluoride, mouthwashes and dental floss to maintain a healthy oral cavity. The objective of this work is to determine the dental microabrasion as an alternative treatment for fluorosis. The methodology used in this project is descriptive, analytical-synthetic and inductive-reductive; for which articles were taken to analyze the information regarding dental microabrasion as an alternative treatment for fluorosis. Conclusions Dental microabrasion is an excellent therapeutic alternative for the superficial elimination of enamel pigment due to fluorosis; however, if the risk factors existing in the environment continue, it could become a health problem
