Resumen
La candidiasis vulvovaginal es una infección del tracto genital femenino, durante la
gestación conlleva a múltiples complicaciones. El objetivo fue analizar la asociación
del parto prematuro y candidiasis en mujeres de 20 a 35 años, Hospital Matilde
Hidalgo de Procel, febrero-julio 2022. La muestra fue de 150 pacientes estudiadas
en la práctica preprofesional mediante un estudio transversal y de observación
directa. Resultados: factores sociodemográficos, grupo etario de 20 a 24 años en
44%, nivel educativo secundario en 64,7%, amas de casa en 63,3% y residencia
urbana en 70%; edad gestacional de parto prematuro y candidiasis era de 34 a 36,6
semanas en el 62%; factores de riesgo de la asociación de estas patologías, los
antecedentes de infecciones de transmisión sexual en 18,7%, eran obesas en
26,7% y el 46% realizaba duchas vaginales. Se concluye que existen diversos
factores sociodemográficos, gineco-obstétricos y personales asociados al
desarrollo de candidiasis y parto prematuro
Vulvovaginal candidiasis is an infection of the female genital tract that leads to multiple complications during pregnancy. The objective was to analyze the association of premature birth and candidiasis in women aged 20 to 35 years, Hospital Matilde Hidalgo de Procel, February-July 2022. The sample consisted of 150 patients studied in pre-professional practice through a cross-sectional study and direct observation. Results: sociodemographic factors, age group from 20 to 24 years in 44%, secondary educational level in 64.7%, housewives in 63.3% and urban residence in 70%; gestational age for preterm delivery and candidiasis was 34 to 36.6 weeks in 62%; risk factors for the association of these pathologies, a history of sexually transmitted infections in 18.7%, they were obese in 26.7% and 46% performed vaginal douching. It is concluded that there are various sociodemographic, gynecological-obstetric and personal factors associated with the development of candidiasis and premature birth.
