Older people according to their chronological age, can be classified as geriatric patients since they are characterized by having several pathologies, and being elderly, they are a vulnerable group in their respiratory capacities, therefore, pulmonary rehabilitation is considered as a benefit for this age group. Objectives: determine if pulmonary rehabilitation is needed in the geriatric patients of the project "My Best Years" of the MIES. Methodology: This is a descriptive investigation with a quantitative focus. A survey was applied to 25 users, based on the SGRQ, NHP, SF36 quality of life questionnaires, and the chair test was applied, which helped determine the need for pulmonary rehabilitation. Results: 60% of the seniors had insufficient results when performing the test of the chair, 72% said yes to the disease was COVID 19 and 28% other conditions. Conclusions: older people need to improve their physical and respiratory capacities; it is proposed a guide to basic knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation for older people
