Resumen
En los últimos años se han implementado varios proyectos de
regeneración parcial o total del casco central de Guayaquil,
tratando de revivir el carácter histórico, cultural y comercial del
sector.
Administraciones pasadas han tomado como foco principal
la Calle Panamá y sus alrededores desde las primeras intervenciones,
llevadas a cabo entre 2013 y 2016, debido a su memoria y legado
patrimonial. Recientemente se han desarrollado proyectos complementarios
de carácter artístico y cultural con la promesa de reactivar
la economía y promover el uso de la ciudad, su centro y sus
equipamientos.
La ejecución de estos proyectos ha derivado en la
movilización forzosa de la población nativa del sector y el abandono
de las instalaciones pasado el horario laboral.
El enfoque del presente trabajo de titulación es proponer una
alternativa de espacio público que funcione como ruta de conexión
y a su vez invite al Guayaquileño a recorrer y apropiarse de su ciudad
y su herencia histórica.
In recent years, several partial or total regeneration projects had been implemented in the central area of Guayaquil, aiming to give life back to its historical, cultural and commercial character. Past administrations have taken Calle Panamá and its surroundings as their main focus since the first interventions, developed between 2013 and 2016, due to its memory and heritage legacy. Recently, complementary projects of an artistic and cultural nature have been developed with the promise of reactivating the economy and promoting the use of the city, its center and its facilities. The execution of these projects has resulted in the forced mobilization of the native population of the district and the abandonment of the facilities after working hours. This degree work approaches to propose an alternative public space that works as a connection route, achieving for the native citizens to tour and appropriate their city and its historical heritage.
