Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar los factores asociados al estado nutricional de escolares, en estudiantes de la escuela Unidad Básica Fiscal ¨Carlomagno Andrade Paredes¨. Los factores influencian de forma positiva y negativa en la calidad de vida del escolar manifestándose en un estudio nutricional por déficit, normal o exceso. Este estudio se realizo a través de un nivel investigativo correlacional, con enfoque cuantitativo cuya población de inicio fue de 65 escolares, pero aplicando los criterios de inclusión y exclusión en el estudio; se obtuvo una muestra conformada por 48 estudiantes entre las edades de 6 a 11 años con 11 meses. Para la recolección de datos se hizo uso de encuestadas y medidas antropométricas (peso y talla) los cuales fueron interpretados a través de indicadores de crecimiento de niños (talla/ edad e indice de masa corporal/ edad) analizados mediante estadística descriptiva. Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación demostraron una asociación significativa con el factor sociodemodográfico y el estado nutricional (talla/ edad) de escolares evidenciándose con un valor p= 0,009. Se sugiere que en otras investigaciones se delimite mas el estudio analizándose solo un factor para poder determinar resultados mas específicos. The objective of this research was to determine the factors associated with the nutritional status of schoolchildren, in students of the ¨Carlomagno Andrade Paredes¨ Fiscal Basic Unit school. The factors influence positively and negatively on the quality of life of the student, manifesting itself in a nutritional study for deficit, normal or excess. This study was carried out through a correlational investigative level, with a quantitative approach whose initial population was 65 schoolchildren, but applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria in the study; A sample was obtained consisting of 48 students between the ages of 6 to 11 years and 11 months. For data collection, respondents and anthropometric measurements (weight and height) were used, which were interpreted through child growth indicators (height/age and body mass index/age) analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results obtained in the research demonstrated a significant association with the sociodemographic factor and the nutritional status (height/age) of schoolchildren, evidenced by a p value = 0.009. It is suggested that in other investigations the study be further delimited by analyzing only one factor in order to determine more specific results.
