Resumen
Los procesos electorales en el mundo deben caracterizarse por la libertad de elegir a sus gobernantes, pero también por la integridad de la elección realizada por los ciudadanos, para así evitar el fraude; no obstante, en muchos países aún se realiza la votación manual, sin considerar las ventajas y beneficios de la tecnología. De esta forma, en este estudio se planteó como objetivo, analizarla tecnología Blockchain como una herramienta potencial para el desarrollo de una nueva forma de sufragio, adicionalmente se propone un mecanismo de aplicación de dicha tecnología, por la cual se espera cubrir con las expectativas de los votantes y los entes organizadores de las votaciones para proveer de una participación ciudadana segura que facilite los procesos y disminuya los costos gracias a la implementación de la tecnología Blockchain. Este sistema ayudará a la transparencia del proceso, pero cuidando la privacidad y su validez. Los resultados no podrán ser falsificados y la velocidad de recuento aumentaría. Los votantes podrán acceder a su participación ciudadana mediante un código único logrando que su voto se registre y sea inmutable
Electoral processes in the world must be characterized by the freedom to elect their leaders, but also by the integrity of the election carried out by citizens, to avoid fraud; however, in many countries manual voting is still accomplished, without considering the advantages and benefits of technology. In this research,the objective was to analyze Blockchain technology as a potential tool for the development of a new form of voting. Additionally, a mechanism for applying thistechnology is proposed andwith a goalto meet the expectations of the voters and the organizing entities of the voting, with the purpose of providing safe citizen participation whichfacilitates processes and reduces costs, thanks to the implementation of Blockchain technology. Thissystem will help the transparency of the process, taking care of privacy and its validity. The results cannot be falsified, and the counting speed wouldbeincreased. Voters will be able to access their citizen participation through a unique code, ensuring that their vote is registered and immutable
