Caracterización de herpetofauna de Guayas – Ecuador, mediante análisis bibliográficos con fines de conservación

Resumen
En la provincia del Guayas se han identificado 3 tipos de ecosistemas: tropical árido, húmedo y muy húmedo, con una temperatura promedio entre 24°C – 25°C, menos de 22°C en las zonas de cordilleras y precipitaciones que oscilan desde 60 mm hasta los 2000 mm. Naranjal es el cantón donde se han reportado la mayor cantidad de anfibios con 18 especies, en el cantón Guayaquil se han registrado 32 especies de reptiles. Según los datos obtenidos provenientes de varias fuentes bibliográficas se registran 21 especies de anfibios y 43 especies de reptiles en la provincia del Guayas.
La especie de anfibio que posee categoría de amenaza es: Hyloxalus infraguttatus registrada en Naranjal, por lo tanto, a este cantón se lo considera prioritario para la conservación de esta especie. Las especies de reptiles que poseen categorías de amenaza son: Coniophanes dromiciformis, reportado en los cantones Balzar, Guayaquil y Naranjal y Enyalioides oshaughnessyi, reportado en el cantón Naranjal. Consecuentemente, estos cantones son considerados prioritarios para la conservación de estas especies de reptiles.
In the province of Guayas three types of ecosystems have been identified: Tropical arid, humid and very humid, the average temperature ranges from 24° to 25°, with less than 22° C in the mountain range areas, the rainfall ranges from 60 to 2000 mm. Naranjal is the canton where the largest number of amphibians have been reported with 18 species, in the Guayaquil canton 32 species of reptiles have been recorded. According to the data obtained from various bibliographic sources, 21 species of amphibians and 43 species of reptiles are recorded in the province of Guayas. The species of amphibian that is in the threatened category is: Hyloxalus infraguttatus in Naranjal, therefore, this canton is considered a priority for the conservation of this species. The reptile species found in the threatened category are: Coniophanes dromiciformis that is reported from Balzar, Guayaquil, and Naranjal cantons, and Enyalioides oshaughnessyi reported in the Naranjal canton.
