Resumen
En el ámbito de las telecomunicaciones existe un gran aumento de conexiones y
dispositivos que demandan una mejor calidad y velocidad en el acceso al servicio de
internet. El objetivo de la propuesta es determinar qué tan factible será para una empresa
local migrar a una red óptica bajo la tecnología DWDM, con el propósito fortalecer la
estructura detrás de la red del usuario, ser competitivos y satisfacer la demanda creada,
esto a través de la utilización de nuevas tecnologías y procedimientos. El diseño y pruebas
de la propuesta se la ha realizado simulando el sistema con la ayuda del software
OptiSystem. Las gráficas BER muestran que las conexiones realizadas en tramos de hasta
10 Km, son de alta calidad. Luego de los 10 Km el Q-Factor va disminuyendo y
degradando la conexión. En base a la valoración técnica y económica, se considera factible
la migración hacia la tecnología DWDM.
In the telecommunications field there is a great increase of connections and devices that demand a better quality and speed in the access to the internet service. The objective of the proposal is to determine how feasible it will be for a local company to migrate to an optical network under DWDM technology, with the purpose of strengthening the structure behind the user's network, being competitive and satisfying the demand created, this through the use of new technologies and procedures. The design and testing of the proposal has been carried out by simulating the system with the help of OptiSystem software. The BER graphs show that the connections made in stretches of up to 10 km are of high quality. After 10 Km the Q-Factor decreases and degrades the connection. Based on the technical and economic evaluation, the migration to DWDM technology is considered feasible.
