dc.description.abstractEl objetivo central del presente trabajo de titulación es realizar una evaluación de la producción y exportación de pitahaya como alternativa de desarrollo para el cantón Palora, provincia de Morona Santiago. La metodología para el desarrollo de la investigación es descriptiva y se basa en la información que proveen las instituciones públicas y privadas que están relacionadas con la temática del trabajo, entre ellas el Banco Central del Ecuador (BCE), Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería, Acuacultura y Pesca (MAGAP), el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censos (INEC), el GAD municipal del cantón Palora y la Asociación de Pitahayeros. El método utilizado es el inductivo deductivo, que permite explicar los objetivos y negar o aprobar la hipótesis. El resultado de la investigación nos muestra que en el Cantón Palora es donde se cultiva y produce los mayores volúmenes de pitahaya, la misma que se destina al mercado nacional e internacional. También se concluye que para mejorar la calidad de vida de la población del cantón es necesario incentivar la producción y comercialización de la pitahaya.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe main objective of this titration work is to carry out an evaluation of the production and export of pitahaya as an alternative development for the Palora canton, province of Morona Santiago. The methodology for the development of the research is descriptive and is based on the information provided by public and private institutions that are related to the subject of work, including the Central Bank of Ecuador (ECB), Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries (MAGAP), the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC), the municipal GAD of the Palora canton and the Pitahayeros Association. The method used is the inductive deductive, which allows explaining the objectives and deny or approve the hypothesis. The result of the investigation shows us that in the Palora Canton is where the highest volumes of pitahaya are grown and produced, the same that is destined to the national and international market. It is also concluded that to improve the quality of life of the population of the canton it is necessary to encourage the production and commercialization of pitahaya.es_ES
