Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar un estudio de la situación actual
del Hospital Universitario de la Universidad de Guayaquil, para encontrar los
principales problemas y dar posibles soluciones a ellos, a través de éste análisis se
encontró que el principal problema es la “Mantenimiento inadecuado en el área de
calderos”, la solución que se plantea en esta tesis es el “planificación de
mantenimiento y operación en para el área de calderos”, con el cual se intenta
acrecentar la eficiencia en el proceso de la obtención de vapor mejorar la operación
del sistema y los equipos que lo conforman, y así alargar la vida útil del sistema de
calderos. La metodología utilizada para la realización de este trabajo es el Método
Científico Investigativo, con la ayuda de las siguientes técnicas: Entrevistas a
trabajadores, Diagrama de Pareto para encontrar el problema principal, Matriz FODA
para diseñar estrategias que nos permitan afrontar los problemas o aprovechar las
fortalezas del Hospital Universitario, Técnica del Ishikawa, para detectar los problemas
en función de los recurso utilizados en proceso. Luego de haber planteado los
objetivos principales de ésta tesis y de aplicar las técnicas mencionadas inicialmente
en el análisis de la situación actual del Hospital Universitario, los resultados obtenidos
a través de éste trabajo de investigación, fue reducir en un 50% las pérdidas en la
producción de vapor, con una inversión de $3000.00, en la planificación, que de
acuerdo al estudio se los recuperará en seis meses y con un beneficio anual de
$6290,77. Para finalizar se debe gestionar e implementar la planificación de
mantenimiento y operación en el área de calderos para optimizar la productividad en la
producción de vapor no desperdiciar los recursos que se cuenta para esta área ya que
por tratarse de un sistema básico en la operación de este centro de la salud.
