dc.description.abstractLa Isla Santay perteneciente al cantón Eloy Alfaro (Durán) se encuentra ubicada en el río Guayas, a 800 metros de distancia de Guayaquil y comprende un área de 2179 hectáreas, se encuentra rodeada por manglares y desde el año 2010 forma parte del Sistema Nacional De Áreas Protegidas como Área Nacional de Recreación en la cual habitan 56 familias. Actualmente, los habitantes de la comuna no cuentan con los recursos económicos adecuados debido a la escasez laboral que existe en el lugar; de igual forma, la falta de estudios académicos es otro de los problemas que se presentan y es una de las principales causas que no les permite tener un trabajo estable. Por lo que, el propósito de este proyecto es mejorar la situación económica de los habitantes de la comuna y para llegar a la propuesta se desarrollaron entrevistas y encuestas, con la finalidad de obtener información relevante sobre la situación económica de los comuneros. Teniendo presente la problemática y los resultados del estudio de campo de los habitantes de la isla, se desarrolla la propuesta a través de un micro financiamiento destinado a un grupo de personas pertenecientes a la isla, permitiendo la elaboración de artesanías destinadas al comercio.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe Santay Island belonging to the canton Eloy Alfaro (Durán) is located on the Guayas River, 800 meters away from Guayaquil and comprises an area of 2179 hectares, is surrounded by mangroves and since 2010 is part of the National System Protected Areas as a National Recreation Area in which 56 families live. At the moment, the inhabitants of the commune do not count on the suitable economic resources due to the labor shortage that exists in the place; In the same way, the lack of academic studies is another of the problems that arise and is one of the main causes that does not allow them to have a stable job. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to improve the economic situation of the inhabitants of the commune and to reach the proposal, interviews and surveys were developed, in order to obtain relevant information on the economic situation of the community members. Bearing in mind the problems and the results of the field study of the inhabitants of the island, the proposal is developed through a micro financing aimed at a group of people belonging to the island, allowing the development of handicrafts for trade. Therefore, this proposal aims to establish an economic activity for the residents of the commune with the intention of generating additional income for their familieses_ES
