| dc.description.abstract | La investigación presenta un estudio sobre las creencias irracionales en adultas mayores con relaciones de codependencia familiar. Se enmarca en la relación entre dos campos de estudios: la Terapia Racional Emotiva Conductual y la Codependencia. El estudio del objeto de investigación se realizó desde tres dimensiones fundamentales: la presencia de las creencias irracionales, la forma de expresión de las mismas y los contenidos irracionales. Se realizaron estudios de casos múltiples a profundidad a diez adultas mayores de 65 a 75 años asistentes del Centro Gerontológico Municipal “Dr. Arsenio de la Torre Marcillo” y se utilizó un enfoque metodológico cualitativo que permitiera la exploración y el conocimiento profundo de la experiencia de las participantes, donde se empleó el análisis de contenido como instrumento metodológico para la interpretación y análisis de la información. Los resultados muestran la presencia de creencias irracionales relacionadas con la Excesiva Preocupación hacia el otro, Alta Auto-exigencia, Alta Necesidad de Aprobación, Ansiedad o Miedo, Catastrófico, Evitar Problemas, Influencia del Pasado y el tremendismo, la presencia del nunca-siempre y la devaluación del self como principales formas de expresión. Además se evidencian ideas sobre-valorizadas con respecto al sujeto de apego, temor irracional a ser rechazadas o abandonadas por sus familiares, concepciones rígidas y absolutas sobre la relación materno-filial, una discriminación a la figura paterna en los casos de divorcio, y en los casos de matrimonio, en la historia familia una postura de sumisión y agresión frente a la pareja, normalizada en la relación con los hijos. | dc.description.abstract | The research presents a study on irrational beliefs in elder adults with the family codependency. It is part of the relationship between two fields of study: the Rational Emotive Beliefs Therapy and family codependency.
