Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2019-09) Arámbulo Echanique, Vianna Aime; Santander Feijóo, Andrea Carolina; Cruz Rizo, LornaThis educative project is based on the conflict situation projected by the students of the first year of General Unified Baccalaureate at Unidad Educativa Francisco Huerta Rendón in the school year 2019-2020. It could be perceived through observation that the students have trouble with speaking, which is the dependent variable of this project. They are not skilled enough to produce fluent and precise speeches, they also seem insecure while speaking and even some students showed a low confidence to speak in front of their classmates. Also, it could be noticed that they do not know how to pronounce the heteronym words correctly, being this the independent variable; as they are not aware of the correct pronunciation which has a direct influence in their speaking skills. After analyzing the historical background, the theorical and legal frameworks, and also the context of investigation, it was pertinent to create and apply a poll to the students and an interview to the English teachers in charge to get more information about the variables of this project. After having the results, and thinking of an optimal solution, it was considered the creation of a didactic video about the pronunciation of the heteronym words, so students would have the opportunity to improve their speaking kills and getting to know how to pronounce the heteronym words correctly and identify their meanings according to those pronunciations
