Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2022-04) Herrera Bravo, Maricela Lourdes; Polo Castillo, Clara Ruth; Cruz Rizo, LornaThis study records the analysis regarding how audiobooks influence the improvement of listening skills in the English learning process, in 8th grade students of Basic General Education of the Esteban Cordero Borrero School of Fe y Alegria, in the city of Guayaquil. It presents outstanding arguments through a bibliographical analysis that reveals the background, foundations and methodology for the proper application of this resource. It also offers a statistical analysis of data collected through the application of a survey, interview and observation that describe the situation of these students in said skill. It proposes as a solution a Didactic Guide with methodological orientations for the appropriate use of audiobooks. This proposal can be extended to similar learning contexts.
