Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2022-09) Icaza Cercado, Dhara Yailing; Peralta Demera, Víctor Antonio; Alvarado Pignataro, Daniela FrancescaThis research analyzes the incidence of the Engage, Study and Activate (ESA) approach in the improvement of the grammar skill in students of the 8th scholar year of Basic General Education of the public school "Replica Aguirre Abad" located im the city of Guayaqul. Firstly it starts aettings its objective supported by the bibliographical argumentation that highlights the contributions of previous researchers regarding the beneits of the ESA approach for the development of the grammar skills. According to that, it provides a description of each phase of this approach a it ia applied in a class lesson. This study applies the mixed research methodology to analyze data quantitatively and qualitatively. It continues adding statistical analysis as a result of the application of empirical research techniques; interview and survey. Finally concludes with the design of a digital portfolio with activities based on this approach as a solution to the researeh problem.
