Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2021-10) Macías Sol, Verónica Alejandra; Quimi Reyes, Sheyla Rosa; Anaguano Pérez, SaraThe main objective of this project is to determine the effectiveness of using scaffolding strategies in online teaching to improve the reading fluency of tenth-grade students of general basic education of the Fiscal Educational Unit ''Sarah Flor Jimenez'' during the school year 2020-2021. In the mentioned group of students, the lack of reading fluency in the English language was evidenced. This was determined through a survey of the students, an interview with the English teacher, and the observation process. Additionally, the independent and dependent variable of the problem was analyzed and developed through historical background, theoretical foundation, applying methods, techniques, and instruments that allowed discovering the real situation in which the students found themselves with respect to reading fluency.
