- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoInfluence of the extensive reading to enhance the reading comprehension of the students(Universidad de Guayaquil. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2016) Mendez Morocho, Karen Natali; Villamar Naranjo, Mariana de Jesús; Torres Vivar, EduardoThis Project is the result of an investigation, which it was carried out to determine the influence of the extensive reading to enhance the reading comprehension of the 9th Course students at Maria Teresa Sola de Estrada School. This research was achieved through the observation method which is based on the direct perception of the investigation object. The measuring implement was a survey which is a technique of acquiring information from the sociological interest of 39 students at school. The collected information was processed, analyzed and consequently the results were represented by graphs and charts for a better understanding. The main purpose of this thesis is to establish the importance of reading comprehension according (Zabert, 2010) he mentions that “Comprehensive reading is a slow and reflexive reading that implies to identify meticulously the content of each paragraph that author wants to share us, but it also allows a time in which we can compare what the text says with our previous knowledge and attitudes about the topic”. This is the reason for what we have designed a didactic guide with select readings which it will help to improve the reading comprehension of the students while having fun.
