Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2022-04) Troya Cabrera, Alexandra Judith; Carrillo Medina, Jacqueline Del Rocío; Donoso Noboa, Galo RafaelThe main research project is based on the incidence of active techniques in the development of oral comprehension in English language learning, in eighth grade, section “A” in the High school “Othón Castillo Velez” in the school year 2020 – 2021. The project aims to examine the importance of active techniques in the development of listening comprehension, which has been carried out through a bibliographical investigation to determine these aspects and elaborate an adequate proposal to the needs of the students related to this skill. The project was based on the mixed qualitative-quantitative approach, and the observation was applied through an observation guide elaborated based on parameters that were desired to know about the ability that students develop, the survey contributed to know the point of view of students regarding the methodology and materials used by the teacher at class time and finally, the interview addressed to the English teacher and the director of the high school to know the point of view this situation. At the end of this extensive research, the researchers concluded that the design of an activity guide based on active techniques would allow the development and improvement of students’ listening comprehension, thus achieving significant learning in them.
