Resumen
Este trabajo de investigación ha sido realizado en la Unidad Educativa “Dr. Teodoro Alvarado Olea”, cuyo propósito es determinar la incidencia del hábito de lectura en el desarrollo de la comprensión lectora de los estudiantes del 10mo. año de EGB, por ello, se realizó una investigación campo, en el cual se utilizó la técnica de la entrevista y encuesta, al directivo docentes y estudiantes, lo que dio como resultado que los discentes tenían poco interés en la lectura porque éste no es incentivado desde el hogar y en la institución educativa tienen dificultad para entender, inferir y comprender textos. Así mismo, se detectó que hay poca estimulación de los maestros para inculcar el hábito de lectura, siendo relevante aportar una guía de actividades lectoras que le permita al docente desarrollar en los estudiantes ciertas destrezas para la comprensión y análisis de un texto en general.
This research work has been carried out in the Educational Unit "Dr. Teodoro Alvarado Olea", whose purpose is to determine the incidence of the reading habit in the development of the reading comprehension of the students of the 10th year of EGB, for that reason, a field investigation was carried out, in which the technique of the interview and survey was used, to the directive teachers and students, which gave as result that the students had little interest in the reading because it is not encouraged from the home and in the educational institution they have difficulty to understand, to infer and to comprehend texts. Likewise, it was detected that there is little stimulation from the teachers to instill the reading habit, being relevant to contribute with a guide of reading activities that allows the teacher to develop in the students certain skills for the comprehension and analysis of a text in general.
