dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo describir el rol del adulto mayor en el sistema familiar de participantes del proyecto de salud mental y evaluación psicosocial de adultos mayores en la Coop. Primero de Mayo durante el periodo 2018. La muestra fue compuesta por cinco adultos mayores que participaron del proyecto de evaluación psicosocial de adultos mayores y que previamente dieron su consentimiento para el estudio. Los contenidos se analizaron por medio del Test de Funcionamiento Familiar FF-SIL por medio del cual se establece el nivel de funcionalidad o disfuncionalidad del rol, un registro de observación el mismo que permitió evidenciar las actividades que realizan los adultos mayores de acuerdo al rol asignado en el sistema familiar y por ultimo una entrevista semiestructurada por medio de la cual se exploran las creencias de la familia con respecto al rol que el adulto mayor debe asumir, así como la apreciación del adulto mayor del rol asignado. Los resultados mostraron que rol que desempeña el adulto mayor en el sistema familiar, se asigna de acuerdo al género, se evidencia el rol de proveedor en los hombres ya que este asume los gastos del hogar y apoya aún de manera económica dentro de la familia, viéndose y asignándosele por parte de los miembros el papel de protector y figura de autoridad, diferenciándose de los roles que se le asignan a las adultas mayores mujeres, las cuales se mantienen dentro de los roles de cuidadora y mantenimiento del hogares_ES
dc.description.abstractThe objective of this study was to describe the role of the older adults in the family system of participants of the Project health and psychosocial evaluation of older adults in the Coop. Primero de Mayo during the period 2018. The sample was composed of five older adults who participated in the project of psychosocial evaluation of older adults and who previously gave their consent for the study. The contents were analysed by means of the Test Family Function FF-SIL by means of which the level of functionality or dysfunctionality of the role is established, an observation record which allowed to show the activities carried out by the older adult according to the assigned role in the family system and finally a semi-structured interview through which the beliefs of the family are explored regarding the role that the older adult must assume, as well as the older adult's appreciation of the assigned role. The results showed that the role played by the older adult in the family system is assigned according to gender, the role of provider in men is evidenced since men assume household expenses and still support economically within the family, Seeing and being assigned by the members the role of protector and figure of authority, differentiating themselves from the roles that are assigned to older women, who remain in the roles of caretaker and maintenance of the homees_ES
