dc.description.abstractIntroducción: El afrontamiento emocional involucra el aspecto familiar, social, afectivo, en el que los pacientes, al no contar con dicho apoyo, podría generar desinterés por sí mismo y por el tratamiento, impidiéndole reducir la sintomatología provocada por esta enfermedad. Objetivo: Describir la labor de enfermería ante al afrontamiento emocional de pacientes oncológicos. Metodología: con una modalidad cualitativa, de tipo de investigación etnográfico, se aplicaron entrevistas con preguntas abiertas no estructuradas a 5 participantes, previa autorización y firma del consentimiento informado, una vez recolectada la información fue interpretada, analizada y categorizada, Resultado: Se demostró que los profesionales de enfermería desarrollan diferentes estrategias para ayudar al paciente afrontar de una mejor manera su estado de salud, pero este primero debe conocer sus necesidades, saber cuales son los causales que pueden estar conllevando a que no puedan afrontar correctamente esta etapa; de tal manera que al determinar sus emociones y los causales, el personal de enfermería lleva a cabo su labor a través del apoyo emocional, de la comunicación, de la empatía, de la fortaleza, de tal forma que logra una mejor relación interpersonal con el paciente, de tal forma que también permite que pueda expresar sus dudas o inquietudes sobre su enfermedad. Conclusión: El personal de enfermería refleja estrategias adecuadas para ayudar al afrontamiento de los pacientes oncológicos, por lo que se espera que siga informándose y capacitándose para tener una mejor intervención en ellos.es_ES
dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Emotional coping involves the family, social, affective aspect, in which patients, not having such support, could generate disinterest in themselves and in the treatment, preventing them from reducing the symptoms caused by this disease. Objective: To describe the work of nursing before the emotional coping of cancer patients. Methodology: with a qualitative modality, of the ethnographic research type, interviews with unstructured open questions were applied to 5 participants, prior authorization and signing of the informed consent, once the information was collected, it was interpreted, analyzed and categorized. Result: It was shown that Nursing professionals develop different strategies to help patients better cope with their state of health, but they must first know their needs, know what are the causes that may be leading to them not being able to correctly face this stage; in such a way that by determining their emotions and the causes, the nursing staff carries out their work through emotional support, communication, empathy, strength, in such a way that they achieve a better interpersonal relationship with the patient. patient, in such a way that it also allows him to express his doubts or concerns about his illness. Conclusion: The nursing staff reflects adequate strategies to help cancer patients cope, so it is expected that they continue to be informed and trained to have a better intervention in them.es_ES
