sexuales. El 9% presentaron antecedentes de enfermedad inmunosupresora,
todos por VIH. El 9% reportó tratamiento con medicación inmunosupresora.
El 100% admitió la práctica de relaciones anales. No existió enfermedad
concomitante en ninguna de las pacientes valoradas.
Due to the high prevalence of patients infected for the Papillomavirus (HPV) with positive cytology in cervix uterine, a risk factor for anal HPV infection is necessary to establish the prevalence in this population, especially when there is evidence to draw a relationship between anal cancer and HIV infection. In IESS Regional Hospital "Dr. Teodoro Maldonado Carbo” is a high incidence of patients with HPV positive pap test but did not know the prevalence of anal infection in this group. In order to know the frequency, we performed an observational study; non-experimental, descriptive, crosssectional, design in which the information was collected from patients attends at the Clinic of Cervical Pathology of this institution. For the statistical analysis used simple frequencies, percentages and averages. The results showed a prevalence of anal HPV infection in patients with this virus in the cervix of 22%. The average age of the patients was 36.45 ± 8.716 years. The average time from diagnosis of infection in the cervix to identify the virus in the year was 8.91 ± 5.26 months. The average age of onset of sexual activity was 19.14 ± 3895 years. The average number of sexual partners was 3 ± 2. 9% had a history of immunosuppressive disease, all for HIV. 9% reported treatment with immunosuppressive medication. The 100% said the practice of anal intercourse. There was no concomitant disease in any of these patients.
