dc.description.abstract	¿Cómo operan las élites empresariales guayaquileñas para ejercer presión en el Ejecutivo y conseguir diseños institucionales favorables? Para dar respuesta a esta pregunta de investigación, partimos por entender que las élites son grupos minoritarios de personas que representan intereses particulares y que buscan formar parte de la estrategia para la toma de decisiones dentro del poder. Por sus características específicas, las élites han sido estudiadas como grupos de presión directa e indirecta, porque influyen en los centros de toma de decisiones de las diferentes funciones del Estado, en busca de prebendas o espacios de poder. Esta investigación surge de la necesidad de identificar la forma de operar las élites empresariales de Guayaquil como grupo de presión, para así conseguir participaciones y canonjías en el poder Ejecutivo. Para el efecto, utilizaremos una metodología de corte cualitativo que nos permita observar de forma sincrónica un diseño institucional en particular, que servirá de muestra para desentrañar y denotar la forma de operar políticamente de estas élites. How do Guayaquil's business political elites operate to put pressure on the executive and achieve favorable institutional designs? To answer this research question, we start by understanding political elites as minority groups of people who represent particular interests and who seek to be part of the strategy for decision making within power (Pérez, 2010). Due to their specific characteristics, the elites have been studied as groups of direct and indirect pressure, because they influence the decision-making centers of the different functions of the State, in search of perks or spaces of power. This investigation arises from the need to identify the way of operating the business elites of Guayaquil as a pressure group, in order to get holdings and canonries in the Executive branch. For this purpose, we will use a mixed-cut methodology that allows us to observe a particular institutional design in a synchronous manner, which will serve as a sample to unravel and denote the way in which these elites operate politically.	es_ES
