Resumen
La presente investigación arquitectónica surge como respuesta urgente a la necesidad de enfrentar la falta de conciencia ambiental y los desafíos de conservación en la Parroquia El Morro, Guayaquil, Ecuador. Con un enfoque central en la rehabilitación marina, el proyecto busca contrarrestar los efectos negativos del turismo y la pesca no sostenible en la zona. Este centro no solo pretende ser un referente en conocimiento ambiental, sino también un impulsor de cambios sostenibles, fomentando prácticas turísticas responsables y contribuyendo a la recuperación de la biodiversidad marina en El Morro.
The present architectural research arises as an urgent response to the need to address the lack of environmental awareness and conservation challenges in El Morro Parish, Guayaquil, Ecuador. With a central focus on marine rehabilitation, the project aims to counteract the negative effects of tourism and unsustainable fishing in the area. The design proposal encompasses a Marine Research Center that integrates educational areas, research laboratories, and rehabilitation zones for local fauna. Additionally, it is dedicated to public awareness, community engagement, and ecological restoration, emphasizing the importance of preserving the vital mangrove ecosystem. This center not only aspires to be a reference in environmental knowledge but also a driver of sustainable changes, promoting responsible tourism practices and contributing to the recovery of marine biodiversity in El Morro.
