dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo es un análisis retrospectivo descriptivo de pacientes diagnosticados con Carcinoma de Células Transicionales (CCT) de vejiga en el ION - SOLCA Guayaquil con la finalidad de corroborar la utilidad práctica de la BCGTERAPIA en el tratamiento de ésta patología. Se revisó 60 Historias Clínicas correspondientes al período 1.999 - 2.001. La evaluación de los datos recopilados reportó una Tasa de Respuesta Satisfactoria del 81.8% en pacientes tratados con BCG después que se les practicó Resección Transuretral (RTU), superando los porcentajes de Tasas de Respuesta de otro tipo de Terapia aplicada. El seguimiento del grupo en estudio asegura la validez de la BCGTERAPIA al reportar un tiempo de sobrevida de más de 48 meses. El BCG ejerce su acción estimulando el sistema inmune y aunque éste mecanismo no es del todo dilucidado numerosos estudios y experiencias destacan la BCGTERAPIA como tratamiento de elección en el Cáncer Superficial de Vejiga porque al ser administrada después de la RTU modifica el potencial invasivo del cáncer.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	The present work is a descriptive retrospective analysis of patients diagnosed with Carcinoma of Transitional Cells (CCT) of bladder in the ION - SOLCA Guayaquil with the purpose of corroborating the practical utility of the BCGTERAPY in the treatment of this pathology. It was checked 60 Clinical stories corresponding to the period 1.999 - 2.001. The evaluation of the gathered data reported a Rate of Satisfactory Answer of 81.8% in patients treated with BCG after they were practiced Resection Transuretral (RTU), overcoming the percentages of Rates of Answer of another kind of applied Therapy. The pursuit of the group in study confirms the validity from the BCGTERAPY when reporting a time of survival of more than 48 months. The BCG performs its action stimulating the immune system and although this mechanism is not completely elucidated, several studies and experiences highlight the BCGTERAPY like a choice of treatment in the Superficial Bladder cancer, because when being administered after the RTU it modifies the invading potential cancer.	es_ES
